1. Just bottled the Limited Edition Sicilian Nero d'Avola Shiraz, and as usual, love what we're drinking.

"The Black Grape of Avola", Nero d'Avola is "the most important red wine grape in Sicily" and is one of Italy's most important indigenous varieties. It is named after Avola in the far south of Sicily and its wines are compared to New World Shirazes, with sweet tannins and plum or peppery flavors. Here's the rest of that description again... Sicilian Nero d'Avola-Shiraz. Sicily has long hot summers, mild winters and just enough rain - perfect for strong vines and yummy wine. How fun. The suggestions of blueberry to blackberry and scents of rose, herbs and smoke are currently making us very happy. Though it'll benefit from a year's age, this is one that sounds like it's just fine to enjoy as is, drink up & come back for more!

AND... the Limited Edition Pacific Quartet.
If you're looking for the new gently sweet white on the block, here's your glass. A blend of 4 perfectly complimentary grape varietals, this is deliciously unique.

2. *NEW* Washington Yakima Valley Pinot Gris

A new dry white offering. Had a bottle last night. Mmm.
The northwest turns out some nice fruit.
Slightly bolder than the Oregon version we used to have, with classic crisp citrus fruits, a little more pear and a hint of honeydew, I'm a fan. It went well with popcorn & Juno.

If you had the Oregon Yamhill Pinot Gris we used to have, you WILL like this.
